Governor to Meet with Island’s Healthcare Professionals on Guam Medical Complex
Guam Medical Association (GMA) Leadership Declines Invitation
Despite repeated attempts to meet, Governor Lou Leon Guerrero has again received notice from the Guam Medical Association (GMA) that their leadership will not attend an upcoming information meeting to address her plans to build a Guam Medical Complex. The information meeting is scheduled for Monday, November 27, 2023 at 6 p.m. at the Hilton Guam Resort & Spa Gallery.

Medical Campus revised lease submitted
The Department of the Navy has sent a new lease for the Eagles Field property to address the Office of the Attorney General’s (OAG) concerns as expressed in its legal opinion on March 31, 2023. At her direction, the Governor’s legal team provided a copy of the OAG’s opinion to the Department of the Navy and discussed possible revisions to the initial draft lease addressing the concerns of the OAG. As a result, at 1:56 pm today, the Dept. of the Navy transmitted a newly revised draft lease to the Office of the Governor.

Land bank trust bill reintroduction
Governor Lou Leon Guerrero has transmitted a Land Bank reform bill down to the Legislature. The measure places $10 million into the Land Bank Trust Fund this year and $2 million every year thereafter.
